About Us

SeaSmart is a 501c3 nonprofit organization whose primary mission is to raise awareness of and develop advocates for ocean conservation, marine biology and SCUBA via adult and student local and travel programs and camps.  We believe this is best accomplished through unique, experiential learning in locations where participants have a direct impact on endangered marine inhabitants and ecosystems, developing an “explorer mindset.” SeaSmart strives to bring these empowering opportunities for learning to students of all socioeconomic levels with a special focus on ensuring underrepresented and redirected demographics gain exposure to these important topics.

There are so many benefits to experiencing this type of educational, purposeful and fun adventure.  Develop leadership, problem solving, academic and physical skills, learn about topics that are critical to today’s environment, and begin or continue with your scuba diving skills and certifications.  Explore if you might want to further your studies in marine sciences. There are opportunities to receive service credits as well as letters of recommendation.
