Invite SeaSmart to your Classroom or Organization

SeaSmart loves sharing the ocean with school and sports groups, clubs, scout troops, college groups and professional organizations. We have engaging programs covering topics such as:

  • The Importance of Ocean Conservation

  • Why Coral Restoration is Critical

  • How Conserving Sharks Is Key to Healthy Oceans

  • What Invasive Species Do To The Ocean Ecosystems

  • Using Art to Advocate for Ocean Conservation

In addition, we can custom curate specific programs geared toward a topic or goal of the group-either in local classrooms and meetings, or by coordinating hands-on programs in a variety of destinations.  We have relationships worldwide that we can partner with to tailor an unforgettable adventure for any age group or interest!

“I am the leader of a Northeastern US teenage Girl Scout Troop. SeaSmart Director Lisa McIntyre graciously donated her time to spend an evening with our young women.  We explored their interests in marine science — on recreational, higher education, service and perhaps even a future professional level. Lisa’s creative, informative and interactive presentation not only inspired our young women to get certified in open water scuba, but also covered everything from humanity's role in protecting marine life to more broadly advocating for climate health.  We can’t wait for an evening with Lisa and the sea next year.”

"Thank you for speaking to our BSA Troop 146!! It was chock-full of good information. The videos you shared about the results of ocean pollution were very impactful and started conversations by the Scouts on their Zoom chat. The statistics for shark finning and killing were shocking to say the least! I was very impressed with the amount of knowledge you passed on in a short time. I’m sure it left a lasting impression as well as opened more eyes and ears on how our Scout families can help."

“SeaSmart invited my middle school students to start thinking about the importance of ocean conversation and the roles that they can play in protecting our marine life. Students were engaged throughout the presentation, surprised by alarming statistics, and inspired to take action to make a difference.”

"SeaSmart is an amazing nonprofit organization that aims at inspiring the next generation of ocean stewards. Their summer programs are for students who are interested in learning more about the state of our oceans and scuba diving. Though they could not hold the normal in-person summer program this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they offered a week-long virtual camp for their participants and highlighted a new topic about ocean conservation each day."
